Salvador Citizens' Climate Assembly
ZeroCem was responsible for technically supporting Delibera Brasil’s “Decidadania” program in the development of the Citizens’ Assembly for Climate in Salvador.
Citizens' Assemblies are an innovative participatory model in which a diverse group of city residents collectively debate a key issue on the local public agenda: in the case of Salvador, priority measures for mitigating and adapting to climate change.
As part of this project, ZeroCem structured the content and methodology that underpinned the discussions of the Citizens' Assembly, indicating possible scenarios for action and advocacy. The result of the process was the development of a series of recommendations on which actions in Salvador's climate plan should be prioritized in the short term.
